Margot Robbie admits she “took a few shots of tequila” to calm her nerves before filming X-rated scenes with Wolf Of Wall Street co-star Leonardo DiCaprio
Margot Robbie has revealed that she needed some Dutch courage before filming raunchy bedroom scenes with Leonardo DiCaprio in Wolf Of Wall Street.
The Australian actress, 32, shared that she “had a few shots of tequila” in an attempt to calm her nerves ahead of the scenes.
She was just 22 when she starred alongside the Oscar winner in the biographical crime comedy, which featured a slew of X-rated scenes.
Seducing Leonardo DiCaprio may be a woman’s fantasy, but Margot Robbie needed Dutch courage for her bedroom scene with the actor in The Wolf Of Wall Street
Speaking at a Bafta: A Life In Pictures event in London’s Piccadilly on Tuesday, Margot admitted that while she looked confident on screen, that wasn’t the case in real life.
‘I’m not going to lie; I had a few shots of tequila for that scene because I was nervous – very, very nervous,” the star explained.
One scene shows Margot trying to seduce husband Leonardo, who is more than 15 years her senior, in their young daughter’s nursery.

The 2013 Martin Scorsese film is based on the story of real-life New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio), starring Margot as his wife Naomi Lapaglia.
Despite having breakout roles on shows like Australia’s Neighbours, the blockbuster catapulted Margot to fame upon its release.
But it was a tough gig for the newly famous actress, as she admitted in 2016 that the scenes were “uncomfortable” to film and were a first for her.

“I’ve done scenes where it leads to sex or the sex just ended. But I hadn’t done a sex scene from start to finish like in Wolf Of Wall Street. That was my first. Countless people are watching you,” the actress told Vanity Fair at the time.
Continued: “It’s so awkward. It’s like this is what you need to do – keep doing it. The sooner you do it, the sooner you can stop.’
And while it may have been tough, the star has since starred in a slew of projects, taking on the role of Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad and Birds Of Prey.
She’s also starring in the upcoming movie Barbie as the eponymous doll, alongside actor Ryan Gosling – who will play her love interest, Ken.
