A tour guide filmed the incredible moment when she and her horse came face to face with three dolphins on a remote beach.

Emma Gibbons and her mare Wolfy encountered the marine animals at Forrest Beach near Busselton in the Margaret River region of Western Australia in January.

Ms Gibbons posted the video on her Instagram, describing the experience as “literally one of the best moments of my life”.

In the Wolfy video, the horse looks shy as the dolphins playfully swim around each other, slowly approaching the shore.

Speaking for Wolfy in the caption, Mrs. Gibbons said: “Move away you slippery sea devils!”

As the horse watches warily, a dolphin swims on its back, exposing its stomach to Emma and Wolfy.

Wolfy can then be seen towards the end of the 30 second clip getting a bit self-conscious before starting to turn and head back to the safety of shoreline.

Ms Gibbons’ Instagram followers flooded the video with comments.

‘Incredible. Dolphins are curious about horses, very smart. They want to play,’ said one Instagram commenter.

Another added: “Don’t they realize they look so much like friendly sharks?”

In other posts, Ms. Gibbons describes her role as a tour guide at Jesters Flat Equestrian Center as her “childhood dream job.”

Wolfy, a mare bred by Jesters Flat and suitable for experienced riders, is one of 27 horses owned by the business.
