Margaret Josephs of Real Housewives of New Jersey reveals how she lost 22 pounds

Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Margaret Josephs, 55 is the latest reality star to talk about her weight loss, revealing she’s lost a whopping 22 pounds and describing how she keeps that weight off.

“It’s been life-changing,” Josephs revealed People. “And it’s not about being fat or skinny; it’s about every aspect of my wellbeing coming together.

“I wanted to feel healthy and take my body to a place where I was supposed to be. I’m so lucky to have found something that actually works for me.’

She found it difficult to maintain her weight after she turned 55, no matter how healthy she ate and how much she exercised.

“I just wasn’t feeling my best.

I felt tired and lifeless. I struggled to find energy like I had in the past. I was dealing with some brain fog,” she added.

“I’d work out, eat healthy, run around all the time and nothing — and everyone knows I don’t even drink alcohol, so it wasn’t that,” she explained.

Josephs’ physician assistant Jamie Gabel PA-C told the outlet that he put the reality star on a regimen of hormone replacement, peptides to maintain her muscle mass and strengthen her joints, and a mixture of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) .

GLP-1 is used in drugs that treat type 2 diabetes and obesity and the controversial drug Ozempic is one of several GLP-1 peptides on the market and has been in the news as a ‘quick fix’ for weight loss.”

However, Gabel has not revealed whether it is Ozempic or any of the other brands the fashion designer took.

“What can I say, the peptides give me a new pep,” joked the mother of one.

The RHONJ star has been on her wellness program, including the peptides, since April 2022, reportedly taking once a day, another five days a week, and a third time a week.

“I’m 126 pounds now, give or take a pound depending on the day, and I haven’t been this heavy since I first got married in 1994,” Josephs excitedly revealed to People.

“It was the right cocktail for me,” she added. “My swelling in my arm has subsided. My skin has tightened. My bones stronger. I sleep better, I have more energy.’

In a November 2022 interview, Josephs also waxed lyrical about the cocktail of drugs she takes — but for a different reason.

“I take stuff for my joints, my mental clarity,” she said at the time. “We are not getting any younger and our minds are filled with so many things. Everyone is so incredibly busy. I don’t need anything extra to feel bad.’

And she’s also “very good sexually” thanks to the new hormones, which her husband Joe Benigno appreciates.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, 54, has been accused of using Ozempic to lose weight, which she has repeatedly denied.

“I didn’t know about Ozempic until I lost the weight I wanted to lose,” said the Bravo beauty on the red carpet of Elton John’s annual Oscars viewing party.

Richards claims that adding a rigorous exercise routine and making strict dietary changes, mainly cutting out alcohol, has kept her thin. “I actually started losing weight eight months ago, because I stopped drinking alcohol eight months ago,” said Richards.

“At first I thought, ‘Why are they telling me I’m on this diet drug?’ Then they thought, “Well, maybe it’s a different kind,” because I said, “It’s not Ozempic.”‘

The brunette bombshell shared her frustration at being scrutinized for her weight loss since she posted a bikini pic in January.

She explained, “It was never a diet drug, I never touched it. So it really just frustrated me because I’m working out really hard. I got offended because it’s actually irresponsible and I hear about diabetics who can’t even get their hands on it now.’ So then it became, “Okay, now I’m angry.
