Maren Morris shares cryptic post about facing ‘what’s necessary’ … just DAYS after filing for divorce from Ryan Heard
Maren Morris announced her separation from her music star husband Ryan Heard just a few days ago.
On Friday, the I Could Use A Love Song star shared an inspirational quote on Instagram that gave fans a glimpse into her state of mind.
The quote contains a partially crossed out text “It will be alright”, before the words “it just will be, and when it is, you will face what is necessary”.
In what could be another reference to her personal life, the Arlington, Texas native posted several selfies wearing a black baseball cap with lyrics to Celine Dion’s hit It’s All Coming Back to Me Now, according to People.
She sounded confident that most of her fans and followers understood its meaning, writing, “this hat needs no explanation but…” at the bottom of the photo.

“There were nights when the wind was so cold,” read the front of the baseball cap. It will be added to the Instagram carousel along with the caption: “Welcome to the end where you can come and lose some friends…”
The last image on the slide shows Morris in a TikTok clip posing on the red carpet at the premiere of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Los Angeles last week.
It includes audio from her song Vigilante S**t, where Swift sings, “I don’t dress for women / I don’t dress for men / lately I’ve been dressing for revenge.”
The middling hitmaker filed for divorce from the singer-songwriter on Oct. 2 after just over five years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences,” according to court documents obtained Us Weekly.
In legal documents, the couple, who share three-year-old son Hayes Andrew, revealed they had been separated since filing divorce papers.
Heard and Morris first met while co-writing the song Last Turn Home (2014) for Tim McGraw and became fast friends.
By December 2015, the couple began dating, which eventually led to their engagement in July 2017, and wedding the following March, in Nashville, Tennessee.
There were reports that the now estranged couple had a prenuptial agreement.

Mystery: The country music star sounded confident most of her fans and followers knew the meaning of the statement on the hat, writing: “This hat needs no explanation but…” at the bottom of the photo

The duo have continued to collaborate over the years, including the release of their first duet Chasing After You in 2021.
It became a real hit, and was nominated for the best country duo or group performance at the Grammy Awards.
Just weeks before news of their split and divorce proceedings broke, Morris announced she was leaving country music after feeling ‘very, very distant’ from the industry and its politics, prompting a supportive post from Hurd on Instagram.

“She deserves to be celebrated, not just tolerated.” I’m so sick of watching my wife get the s**t kicked out of her by the internet. “I’m sick of every talking head that has some stupid opinion about what they say,” Hurd wrote at the time.
He continued: ‘It’s the same every time, why are you surprised when she calls out something racist or homophobic, I’m sick of people being rewarded for it.’
Hurd ended the post with more praise for his now estranged wife.
“She deserves some sunshine for the burden she’s carried for every artist and fan who feels the same way,” The Wish For The World star said of Morrissey. “I can’t wait for that first tour and to see all the smiling and beautiful people who needed these songs and HER too.” I can’t wait to make music that follows the same path, whatever that is,” he continued. “I love you, MM. Move on.’
