Maren Morris, 34, has a new younger ‘boyfriend’… two months after coming out as bisexual
Maren Morris has a new, much younger boyfriend.
It was claimed on Monday by People that the The Middle East hitmaker is in a relationship with 27-year-old Perfect Match star Justin Assada.
On August 28, he shared a photo with Morris showing them on a date.
“Scary movies + sushi,” Assada wrote in the Insta story.
This comes after the 34-year-old crooner came out as bisexual in June, after splitting from husband Ryan Hurd in October 2023.
In early August she said People that son Hayes, four years old, provided emotional support during her divorce.

She told media that her toddler has “absolutely helped her through a lot of my life this year” and praised him for being a source of love during difficult times.
“Whether he knows it or not,” the devoted mother added, “I doubt it, but I just want to be a good mother to him.”
And traveling the region together for her RSVP Redux tour has only strengthened their bond, and they now feel like partners in crime.
“He loves being on the road, which was so much fun this summer, with Hayes. I don’t know, we feel like partners in crime, and we’re going to be on this bus ride forever,” she cheered.
“It makes me so happy when he’s here and he’s having such a good time here,” the Chasing After You singer added.
The Arlington, Texas, native also opened up about how Hayes, whose face is not seen on social media for safety reasons, is coping with the divorce at his age.
“I feel like there’s so much emotion that comes with having a child with someone and the relationship fails, and you just have to put on a brave, consistent face for your baby,” she admitted.
“I think he’s been through a lot and there’s a lot. I’m sure there’s a lot of confusion because he’s so little,” she said. “But I also think Ryan and I have done a really good job of just being great parents to him.”

The Grammy winner then revealed that her son has been her inspiration and has played an important role in coming up with her latest songs.
She revealed that her hit song Because, Of Course is a “love letter” to little Hayes, saying: “I wrote it about him.”
“It’s clearly my promise to him: Any love like this, especially a mother’s, should be unconditional, but I think it’s beautiful that when people listen to the song, it can be taken as a romantic song, but I didn’t write it about that. It was just about love itself,” she ended.

Maren and Chasing After You singer Ryan Hurd married in 2018, but officially separated in October 2023 and officially divorced in late January of this year.
They welcomed Hayes on March 23, 2020, and share joint custody of him following the divorce.
Maren came out as bisexual on Instagram in early June, writing, “Happy to be the B in LGBTQ+, congrats on Pride!”
