Memphis Grizzlies guard Marcus Smart left Tuesday night’s game against the Dallas Mavericks in the third quarter due to a right finger injury.
After hitting a 3-pointer to extend Memphis’ lead to 80-62 with 7:39 left in the third, Smart celebrated by raising his hand and holding up three fingers, but noticed that his ring finger was crooked.
Smart then looked at the Grizzlies bench and appeared to tell the medical staff that his finger had been dislocated. He went back to the locker room and didn’t come back.
Before leaving, Smart had 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting to go along with four rebounds and two steals. Memphis ultimately defeated Dallas 120-103.
Smart’s injury comes a day after the Grizzlies announced they would be without star guard Ja Morant for the remainder of the season due to a torn labrum in his right shoulder.

In 20 games this season, Smart, 29, has averaged 14.5 points, 4.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds.
He is in his first season with Memphis, after being acquired via trade from the Boston Celtics last season.
The Grizzlies don’t play again until Friday, when they host the Los Angeles Clippers.
