Marcus Rashford is spotted for the first time since he was ruthlessly axed from Manchester United’s squad by Ruben Amorim

Marcus Rashford makes his first appearance since he was brutally removed from the Manchester United squad last weekend.

The 27-year-old was left out of the derby win over Man City by head coach Ruben Amorim and failed to beat Tottenham or Bournemouth.

But instead of watching from home, as he did in the victory at the Etihad and the rollercoaster defeat to Tottenham in the Carabao Cup, Rashford was spotted at Old Trafford on Sunday to watch his teammates play Bournemouth.

A photo shared on social media showed a smiling Rashford posing for a photo with a young supporter in the tunnel while wearing a club tracksuit.

Amorim has publicly insisted he wants the striker to stay but has now dropped him completely for three consecutive games, raising the possibility he could leave in January.

An interview at a local school in which Rashford declared he was ‘ready for a new challenge’ raised eyebrows and his last appearance for United was the 2-1 win against Viktoria Plzen on December 12, when he was sent off after 56 minutes.

Rashford is under contract until 2028 on a contract worth around £325,000 per week.
