Marari-In Shrine location and Eventide Island pirate challenge walkthrough in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Marari-In Shrine is located in the Necluda Sea Area on Eventide Island. The exact coordinates are (4632, -3712, 0018).

Navigating Eventide Island is a bit of a chore: here’s how to get serious about the Marari-In Shrine challenge, which is mostly about the journey.

1. As soon as you reach Cape Kalesdirectly across from Eventide Island, place a Zonai wing from your inventory on the cliffs.

2. Usage Ultra convenient to lift it into the air, mimic a takeoff, and then place it back on the ground. Get on the wing and use To remind to send it towards Toronto Beach. Then jump right over to our walkthrough section, because the action is about to begin.

Marari-In Shrine’s puzzles are truly combat challenges scattered across Eventide Island. Here’s how to plow through it, all the way through the Pirate Hideout, and our strategy for survival.

1. Once you reach Cape Cales, directly across from Eventide Island, place a Zonai wing on the cliffs. Usage Ultra convenient to lift it into the air, mimic a takeoff, and then place it back on the ground. Get on the wing and use To remind to send it towards Toronto Beach.

2. Fly towards Toronbo Beach North until you see a wooden platform with a box on it. Paraglide down to encounter a Bokoblin (if you’re good at the game, expect the Silver variant). Take out the two Bokoblins waiting on nearby platforms with arrows, then open the chest to deserve 10 bomb flowers.

3. Jump off the platform and paraglide to a center platform to find a fourth Bokoblin, which is easy to take out with a well-timed aerial shot from your bow. Paraglide to the bottom again to find Bokoblin #5. Run across the bottom platform to find the remaining monster, likely a Silver Bokoblin, which you can shoot from the platform with your bow.

Defeat Monster Stronghold #2 at Koholit Rock

1. Run to the beach to chat with a soldier at his tent. Sesame will tell you the situation: there’s a band of pirates lurking on the island, and the guys you just defeated were part of a trio of monster strongholds that prevent him from locating them. Defeat the monsters and then find the pirates.

2. Go to the southeast end of the island to find the second monster stronghold. Run up the cliff to find the first Bokoblin ruling the rock on a platform, ready to be hit in the face by an arrow.

3. Run across the hill to ambush the remaining party. You will find three more Bokoblin and two Silver Lizalfos. Once the battalion is defeated, run into the cave to find a chest containing one rising boomerang.


Defeat Monster Stronghold #3 at Toronbo Beach South

1. Go to the southwest corner of the island to find the last stronghold. As you run up the path to the door, watch out: a Bokoblin is about to send a spiky ball your way. Evade the defenses, defeat the guard and make your way to the stronghold.

2. Inside the walled area are three more Bokoblin and a Silver Moblin. Arrows, sword sweeps and quick parries should suffice.

3. Run to the back of the stronghold and up the ladder to get a chest contain a bundle of 10 arrows.


Find the pirate ship and find Marari-In Shrine

1. After defeating the monster’s third stronghold, talk to Sesamewho will give you a tip about the arrival of a pirate crew Koholit rock. Run to the southeasternmost point of the island, paraglide from the edge, then circle back to find the bay.

2. When you descend on the boat, you will find another battle ahead, with two Silver Bokoblin guarding a sleeping Silver Boss Bokoblin. Skip that for now and veer left to get to a lower dock guarded by a lone Blue Bokobin. Sneak up and take it out first.

3. While the battle music may be urging you to fight, run forward across the dock and then swing left into a cave full of loot. A ladder takes you to a higher platform and gives you the advantage. Eliminate the Blue Bokobin you don’t see coming.

4. Across the street, behind the boat guards, are two more Blue Bokobin. Usage Keith’s eyeballs attached to arrows to take them from afar. Look up and do the same with the Blue Bokobin in the boat’s crow’s nest.

5. Now it’s time to take on the big boys. Paraglide to the ship and battle the Silver Bokoblin and Boss Bokoblin.

6. Once defeated, run to the back of the boat to find a pile of wooden planks. Usage Ultra convenient to attach them to a bridge, then place them across the cave opening.

7. In the cave you will find a chest containing topaz. A second chest on the right contains a silver rupee. After collecting rewards, activate the Marari-In Shrine.

8. Enter the shrine to find a chest containing one ruby. Activate the sigil to get one Light of blessing.

9. Before you leave Eventide Island, get out of the cave (To take off comes in handy) and return to the beach to find Sesami, who is a total loser who couldn’t do this himself and owes you something. For fighting off the pirates he will give you one Blue-maned Lynel Saber Horn.
