A man has been found dead next to a church in the Geelong CBD.
Police discovered the body about 4.30am on Friday on Malone St, near Western Beach Rd in Geelong, about 75km south-west of Melbourne.
As of 7 a.m., Malone Street will remain closed while detectives investigate the scene.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Caitlin Knight said the man’s death was being treated as suspicious and the circumstances remained unclear.
Police have cordoned off areas of grass next to St. Peter and Paul’s Church, located at the intersection of Mercer and Malone streets.
