Manny Pacquiao has revealed he has agreed to face old rival Floyd Mayweather again in an exhibition fight for 2024.
Following a defeat to Yordenis Ugas in 2021, Pacquiao announced his retirement from boxing to focus on his ambition to run for president in his native Philippines.
However, despite putting pressure on his professional career, Pacquiao has remained active in the ring, winning a decisive victory over South Korean martial artist DK Yoo in December 2022.
The 45-year-old also has another exhibition fight in the works that will see him take on Muay Thai great Buakaw Banchamek under boxing rules, scheduled for April 20.
However, Pacquiao seemingly already has his eye on his next challenge as he performed at the RIZIN MMA New Year's Eve event at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.

Mayweather won a unanimous decision when the pair first faced off in 2015
Pacquiao appeared in the ring with RIZIN promoter Nobuyuki Sakakibara and revealed he will face Mayweather again in Japan sometime next year.
“Thank you very much for inviting me here again.” He said.
“I'm sorry for the last time we promised that I would fight this year, as Sakakibara-san explained.
'Next year I hope to see you again in Japan with a big fight against Floyd Mayweather. I'm excited about that. Thank you for all your support in RIZIN, all these promotions, and thank you Sakakibara-san.”
Mayweather took part in boxing exhibitions twice before under the RIZIN banner.
Just over a year after announcing his retirement from professional boxing following his victory over Conor McGregor, Mayweather returned to the ring to take on Japanese kickboxing star Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition, subsequently winning by TKO in the first round.
In 2022, Mayweather returned to the Saitama Super Arena to face former RIZIN MMA title challenger Mikuru Asakura before picking up another win.

Conor McGregor recently claimed he had been in talks about a possible fight with Pacquiao in Saudi Arabia
Pacquiao has long been rumored to potentially face McGregor in the ring, with the Irishman recently hinting that talks surrounding the pair facing off in Saudi Arabia had proven fruitful.
“The Mac has a lot to offer and a lot to deliver.” The former UFC champion said.
“They're talking about Manny (Pacquiao) here in Saudi Arabia, the guys in the UFC don't really talk anything, the guys here talk about Manny, the guys in the UFC don't really talk anything. So I'm sitting here as usual.'
