A search has been launched for a man after a woman was found dead and her daughter left injured in what police have described as a “serious incident” in Perth.
Emergency services rushed to Ulandi Court in Beckenham in the south-east of the city just before midnight on Saturday to find the woman in her 60s dead.
The woman’s thirty-year-old daughter was found injured in the building.
WA Police have released a statement saying they are now trying to locate Deng David Ker, who was last seen leaving a house on the same street at around 11.30pm.
Detective Inspector Keith Neubronner of the Homicide Squad said Ker should not be approached if seen in public.

“I urge the community to be careful if you see Deng David Ker,” he said.
Sergeant Neubronner said police received reports of an altercation involving multiple parties at the home before the women were found.
He confirmed that the women found were mother and daughter.
“It is believed that both women were attacked with some kind of sharp weapon,” he said. “We’re not sure what weapon it was.”
In a statement, the police describe the incident as ‘serious’ and believe that Ker, an acquaintance of the police, may be able to assist in the investigation.
According to the police, the parties involved were probably known to each other.
“The investigation into this incident is now ongoing, including identifying the whereabouts of Deng David Ker,” the statement said.
Ker is described as dark-skinned, 184cm tall and with black dreadlock-style hair.
He was last seen wearing a black and white shirt as he left the house.
Officers have warned that Ker may be armed with a weapon and that people should not approach him.
Instead, anyone who sees him should immediately call the police and tell them where he is.
