Victoria Police told the Daily Mail Australia on Monday afternoon that extensive searches are underway in Ballarat and surrounding areas.

According to local sources, a police helicopter and officers on foot “swarmed” Victoria Park near the Ballarat Pony Club Monday afternoon.

Police confirmed that the activity is related to the search for Briffa, but he is still at large.
