Hannibal Mejri caused a stir at the World Cup after throwing the ball at a rival player’s face on Saturday.
The young Manchester United player was named on the bench for Tunisia’s group game with Australia at the Al-Janoub Stadium, with both sides needing a win to bolster their chances of reaching the knockouts.
And in a bizarre turn of events, the striker launched the ball into Socceroo’s star Mitch Duke’s face as he lay on the ground, pitting players against each other.
But Duke had the last laugh and took home the winner to hand Australia their first World Cup victory in 12 years.
