Manchester United star Luke Shaw was spotted heading out with a female friend in Cheshire on Tuesday, following hopes he can finally return to the squad this week.
The 28-year-old footballer looked casual in a blue tracksuit as he went shopping at Marks and Spencer during a break from training.
Luke is recovering from an undisclosed injury after withdrawing from the United Squad on Boxing Day.
However, manager Erik Ten Hag said on Tuesday that he is hopeful he can return for the upcoming match against Tottenham on Sunday.
He said: “I think there will be some players back. I think it’s hopeful that they can be back this weekend.

Luke previously called United’s performance this season ‘not acceptable’ and insisted the team’s mistakes ‘must be addressed’.
He said: ‘This is Man United, one of the biggest clubs in the world. It’s not good enough. We need to look at ourselves in the mirror and question ourselves.
‘It’s hard to figure out what’s going on. Maybe it’s a lack of confidence. It’s our job, we have to stay positive. We cannot feel sorry for ourselves.
‘No excuses. This is Man United and every player who steps onto the pitch has to be good enough to win. We can’t make excuses, it’s not good enough. We keep losing games, losing points and making things difficult for ourselves.’
