Roy Keane cut a terrifying figure in his playing days for Manchester United, but that was nothing compared to the fury he unleashes these days when fans ask him to pose for a selfie.

An unlucky gambler found out during an NFL game between the Green Day Packers and New York Giants played in London.

The Giants shocked the Packers 27-22 for their best start to an NFL season in 13 years and Keane was a captivated spectator in the stands.

That was until the brave fan interrupted the experience to try and snap a quick selfie with the football legend.

Keane was visibly annoyed by the request and repeatedly said ‘after the game’ as he tried to turn his head around the annoying spectator blocking his view.

After the gambler continued down the aisle, Keane rolled his eyes and shook his head.

There is nowhere safe for selfies Roy, you might as well get used to it - even if you enjoy an ice cream by the lake

In reality, this gambler got off lightly. Keane is so famous for hating selfies that there’s an entire Twitter account devoted to it.

The account features images of a grumpy-looking Keane being harassed by fans as they eat ice cream, wait at the airport, and even try to pick up supper from the local chicken shop.

Some fans said it was bad form for Keane to beat the supporters who made him rich and famous.

‘Scandalous. Of course he will be in the public eye, it is an essential part of the job. More than happy to take the big bucks when it’s due,” one fan posted

“Pardon him, he was trying to watch the game and not be harassed all the time,” said another.

“He’s also right, the game has begun. It’s like your wife asking you to change the baby diaper. Getting a grip’, was another perspective.

“There’s a time and place when celebrities rarely get privacy when they leave their homes,” said another.

“Anyone would be annoyed by a selfie during the match, he could have calmed down a bit, but it’s Roy Keane after all,” added another.

But many also quickly rushed to Keane’s defense.

The man has publicly stated that he never liked being asked for selfies. He just keeps the same energy, I can respect that,” a fan said on Twitter.

“All he says is ‘after the game’. Anyone who has encountered RK knows it’s his automatic reaction,” another reasoned.

Good for him, he’s not public property. Anyone asking for a selfie are just sad individuals unless they are kids,” another tweeted.

“You have to draw the line Roy, if you don’t they’ll knock on the door while you’re dumping,” added another.
