Manchester United are reportedly monitoring the progress of Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley.

The 21-year-old has made a significant impact for the Scottish side since signing from MK Dons in January this year.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News, O’Riley has caught United’s eye, but there is no suggestion of an imminent approach from Erik ten Hag’s side.

Having previously been at Fulham, O’Riley signed for MK Dons in January 2021.

Since joining Celtic he has made 25 appearances, during which he has scored four goals and provided five assists.

A former England youth international, he now represents Denmark Under-21s, who he is eligible to play for through his heritage. 

O’Riley has four years remaining on his contract at Celtic, and it is expected that he could enhance his reputation further in the Champions League this season.

He registered two assists on Sunday as Celtic thrashed Dundee United 9-0.  

So far this summer United have signed Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen, while Antony is also set to join.
