Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic has demanded clarity over his future amid interest from a number of Premier League sides.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Everton have all identified the Austria international as a potential target this summer in a bid to bolster their attacking options.

Speaking to DAZN after Stuttgart’s 1-1 draw against RB Leipzig on Sunday, Kalajdzic said: ‘I don’t know myself how my future will turn out but that will become apparent in the next few weeks or as soon as possible, but I can’t influence many things either.’

The talisman displayed his importance to Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side during the clash with the Red Bulls, as he provided the assist for Naouirou Ahamada’s equalising goal.

Kalajdzic caught the attention of a host of top sides after he scored 16 goals during his maiden Bundesliga campaign in 2020-21.

The Austrian netted six goals in just 15 appearances in the German top-flight last term after an injury-hit campaign.

And Premier League clubs have been alerted to the striker’s situation at VFB as he has just one year remaining on his contract with the Bundesliga outfit.

Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat is hopeful that the Austria international will sign a contract extension should he remain in southwest Germany past the transfer window, but VFB will be forced to fend off increased interest from sides on the continent.

Manchester United are on the hunt for a new striker, with Erik ten Hag keen to recruit a talisman before the window slams shut.

The Red Devils currently only have Cristiano Ronaldo and Anthony Martial as central striking options, while the former has informed the club of his desire to leave Old Trafford this summer.

Chelsea also lack depth in the No 9 position after club-record signing Romelu Lukaku’s loan return to Inter Milan at the start of the summer.

Finally Everton also remain interested in Kalajdzic this window with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s recent injury struggles significantly depleting Frank Lampard’s forward options.
