Manchester United ‘believe that they already have the next Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks’ with talented player having made a big impact this season

Manchester United’s coaches reportedly believe they already have the next Cristiano Ronaldo at their disposal.

Undoubtedly one of the greatest players of all time. Ronaldo initially played for United between 2003 and 2009, before returning to the club in 2021 and leaving in November 2022.

In total, Ronaldo played 346 games for United, scoring 145 goals while providing 64 assists.

There is a belief at the club that United has a player who can be a great success just like Ronaldo.

The player in question has already made a big impact for Erik ten Hag’s team

19-year-old winger Alejandro Garnacho has been impressive for United this season and coaches at the club believe the Argentina international is capable of great heights.

Speaking about the Football podcast for football playershost Rickie Haywood-Williams said: “People say they think Garnacho will be….”

Tom Cairney then responded by saying: ‘What, like the next Cristiano?’

Haywood-Williams then said: ‘That’s what they said, that’s what I heard.

‘We can’t predict these things, but from the murmurs I hear from Old Trafford they say he has the potential to reach that level.’

Garnacho draws inspiration from Ronaldo and was able to play alongside the legend on several occasions.

Signed from Atletico Madrid in 2020, Garnacho was involved with the first team last season and has impressed this term, scoring five goals and providing three assists in the Premier League.

Garnacho has a lot of flair and is a very exciting player to watch, with defenders often finding him difficult to deal with.

Whether he can reach Ronaldo’s level remains to be seen, but Garnacho remains eye-catching.
