Manchester United are looking to sign Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer this summer, but Juventus are eager to offer the midfielder a new one-year contract.

Rabiot’s contract expires at the end of this month and Juventus are keen to keep him.

As reported by calciomercatoJuventus met Rabiot’s mother as they tried to persuade him to stay.

United tried to sign Rabiot last summer, with Juventus accepting a £14 million offer. However, the move failed to materialize, with Rabiot’s wage demands of £250,000 a week proving to be a problem.

Although United signed Casemiro last year, they are eager to make further additions to their midfield, with Rabiot among the players under consideration.

However, Erik ten Hag’s team could become frustrated because Juventus want to keep Rabiot

Rabiot, who has been with Juventus since 2019, made 32 appearances in Serie A this season, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.

Before signing for Juventus, Rabiot played for Paris Saint-Germain.

United could allow Fred to leave this summer as Fulham are interested in signing the midfielder.

That could create room in the selection for a player like Rabiot.

French international Rabiot will soon make a decision about his club’s future
