Man Utd were “obliterated” by Pep Guardiola’s City in the Manchester derby, says Sky Sports’ Gary Neville.
Erling Haaland’s penalty divided the sides at half-time before City turned on the style to seal an emphatic 3-0 win.
“It was a football lesson. Manchester United didn’t know what to do,” concluded Micah Richards.
Even the result, however one-sided, flattered United; City’s XG at the end of the match was 3.94.
“The first half was a game,” Neville noted. “The second half was no contest. It became a mess. United disappeared in the second half.”
United are currently eighth in the Premier League, having lost five of their first ten games.

Your opinion on the Manchester derby
Malone Gibbs: “There is no excitement before Man United games anymore, just passive and bland this past year. We have been a mess since that Camp Nou performance.”
Dejected Red: “Why does the manager insist on Rashford when there is no output? He looks so disinterested at the moment, he needs to be taken out of the team to regain his hunger. The signings have been poor too, if they are by him have been selected. Then I think Ten Hag has some explaining to do.”
Jake Wilson: “What is the idea at Man Utd? What are the players trying to do? No style or identity. Luckily we have fifteen points on the board, it could easily be six.”
