Manchester City’s party boys arrive back for England duty

Man City’s party boys put a cork in three-day Treble celebrations as they arrive for England on Tuesday night, while Jack Grealish and Co resume light training on Wednesday

Manchester City’s euphoric England players return to work on Wednesday as they pop a cork in their three-day booze-fueled Champions League celebrations.

Jack Grealish, Kyle Walker, John Stones, Phil Foden and Kalvin Phillips all reported for international duty at St George’s Park on Tuesday evening and will be assessed before undergoing a light training session.

England will depart for Malta on Thursday ahead of Friday’s Euro 2024 qualifier, with all five City stars required to travel.

They are unlikely to start the game as they missed two tactical practices. But City’s players will compete for Monday’s game against North Macedonia at Old Trafford.

Boss Gareth Southgate will be asked about City’s elaborate celebrations at tomorrow’s pre-match press conference.

Grealish, in particular, was at the center of City’s Treble festivities.

Aston Villa’s Tyrone Mings, who has played with Grealish at club and international level, said in a speech yesterday: ‘It’s extremely wild. All he has to do is do it at the right time and he’s just won the Treble, so I don’t think anyone can begrudge him for going out and letting his hair down.’
