Roma, Queensland: Young man in his 20s found dead at workplace

A young man has died after an industrial accident in rural Queensland.

The 24-year-old man was found unconscious and with life-threatening injuries at a business on Raglan Street in Roma, about 350km south of Toowoomba, at 2am on Friday.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the non-suspicious death of a 24-year-old man in Roma last night,” police said in a statement.

‘Emergency services were called to the address on Raglan Street just after 2am after the man was found unconscious and later pronounced dead.

‘The police are assisting Workplace Health and Safety with their investigations.’
