Police are looking for a man riding a scooter wearing a sports bra filled with items at the scene of a suspected arson attack.

Queensland Police believe that at about 4:40am on May 17, a door of a business on Oxford Street in Bulimba in south Brisbane was smashed and deliberately set on fire.

The fire was quickly contained to the front of the business, with only minimal damage to the structure sustained.

As police continue to search for the perpetrator, they have released footage from the moments leading up to the fire, which shows a man riding a scooter to the scene.

The person is wearing a helmet, goggles, a hoodie, sweatpants and a bright blue sports bra.

CCTV footage shows him struggling to remove his sports bra before pulling it over his head.

As he does so, objects fall out of the bra cups.

He then appears to explore the area and appears breathless as he walks out of the shot.
