Manchester United’s next great hopes have been photographed in training with the first team, including a four-man group of little-known names.

On Sunday, the Red Devils take on Leeds once again, this time at Elland Road, after they rallied from a double to claim a point on Wednesday.

Teenager Kobbie Mainoo, who has just signed a new long-term contract at Old Trafford, led Alejandro Garnacho, Noam Emeran, Anthony Elanga and Bjorn Hardley.

The group has played in the Red Devils’ academy, impressed by the youth teams and could figure in Erik ten Hag’s long-term plans.

Ten Hag also gave Mateo Mejía and Sam Murray the chance to impress with the pair instantly training alongside United first-team regulars.

This week, substitute Jadon Sancho secured Man United a close 2-2 draw against Leeds to deny their managerless rivals a famous first league win at Old Trafford in 42 years.

The relegation-threatened Whites sacked Jesse Marsch on Monday and interim replacement Michael Skubala was on course for an unforgettable victory two days later.

Wilfried Gnonto put the visitors ahead after 55 seconds and Raphael Varane converted his own goal early in the second half as Leeds dreamed of their first league win at Old Trafford since February 1981.

But Ten Hag’s United are made of tough stuff and they bounced back impressively, with a Marcus Rashford header followed by substitute Sancho’s first goal since September in a thrilling 2-2 draw.

United missed their suspended midfielder Casemiro badly as they dropped two important points in their quest for a top-four finish in the Premier League.

The Red Devils lost their usual authority in the middle of the park and Leeds took advantage of it.

First-team midfielders Christian Eriksen, Donny van de Beek and Scott McTominay are also injured.

If they drop points again, United will lose precious momentum ahead of a doubleheader against Barcelona and with the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle just around the corner.

Ten Hag also gave Mejia and Sam Murray (above) the chance to impress with the pair's instant coaching alongside United's first-team regulars.
