A Manchester United youngster who was once compared to Andres Iniesta has announced he has left Old Trafford after just one senior appearance for the club.
The academy talent was one of several stars expected to leave the club at the end of the season alongside injury-plagued defender Phil Jones.
The midfielder has struggled to make his way into the Man United first-team since making his senior debut in a two-minute cameo during a 2019 Europa League defeat to Astana.
Recognized as one of the club’s rising talents by then manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he subsequently made the bench for another European fixture.
The Northern Irishman had done enough to attract the attention of ex-national team boss Ian Baraclough, who compared the central midfielder to Barcelona’s legendary duo of Andres Iniesta and Xavi.

Baraclough said in 202, ‘Not to put too much pressure on his shoulders, but he’s our little Iniesta or Xavi.
‘[He’s] someone who can get on the ball and manipulate the ball and find positive passes.
Ethan Galbraith has been on loan this season to Salford City, who are hoping for promotion to League Two, and co-owns United legends Gary Neville, Phil Nevile, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes, David Beckham and Ryan Giggs.
The 22-year-old announced he would soon be leaving Old Trafford and posted a heartfelt statement on Instagram labeling the Premier League giants as a ‘magnificent club’.

“I want to thank the club, the coaching staff and the players for helping me become a better player and a better person and making me feel at home.
“My earliest ambition as a boy was to be a professional footballer and I am eternally grateful to the club for giving me the opportunity and support to make that dream come true.
