Manchester United would be in the market to sign AC Milan fullback Theo Hernandez this summer but will have to pay for the privilege.
The Frenchman has made 167 appearances for the Italian side since joining from Real Madrid in 2019.
But Hernandez joined under club director Paolo Maldini, who was sacked from his position earlier in June, sparking more speculation that the 25-year-old will leave Milan.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Manchester United is a possible destination for the left backalthough they would have to pay at least 60 million euros (£51.35 million) to get him.
Hernandez extended his contract with the Rossoneri in February, quadrupling his wages in the process. He is now tied to the Italian side until the summer of 2026.

The Red Devils are believed to face competition from Manchester City, while top LaLiga sides may also be trying to bring him back to Spain, where he began his career.
His youth career was spent with Rayo Majadahonda and Atletico Madrid, and while he failed to progress beyond the latter’s B team, he did join Alaves on loan for a season.
He then joined Real Madrid, before being loaned to Real Sociedad in the season before his move to AC Milan.
Goalkeeper Mike Maignan is another player annoyed by Maldini’s dismissal as club director
While things went well in Italy and the Serie A title was sealed in 2022, Maldini’s recent exclusion has caused problems within the ranks of AC Milan.
Hernandez is one of several players thought to be upset with the decision, with goalkeeper Mike Maignan and midfielder Sandro Tonali also included.
AC Milan finished fourth in Serie A last season, as Napoli claimed the title a year after Hernandez’s side lifted the trophy.
