Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson looks set for another spell on the sidelines, with manager Roy Hodgson admitting initial scans of a thigh injury ‘didn’t look like good news’.

Henderson made a first start since joining the Eagles in a £20 million transfer from Manchester United in the Carabao Cup match against his former club on Tuesday evening.

The 26-year-old lasted less than 20 minutes before being forced off and replaced by Sam Johnstone, who has been Palace’s regular number one this season.

He was photographed arriving at the Carrington training complex on Saturday morning in the back of a darkened Mercedes van.
