Jonny Evans has signed a new one-year contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until June 2025, Manchester United have announced.
Evans, 36, returned to his boyhood club as a free agent last summer after eight years at West Brom and Leicester.
The Northern Ireland centre-back ultimately made 30 appearances in all competitions due to injuries to Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire.
Evans came on as a substitute in the FA Cup final against Manchester City in May, adding the famous trophy to the three Premier League titles, two League Cups and four Community Shields he won in his first spell at United under Sir Alex Ferguson, completing the domestic trophy cabinet with a complete sweep of honours.
Although United hope to sign two centre-backs this summer and have been linked with Jarrad Branthwaite, Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro, they have offered Evans new terms which he has happily accepted.
