Man United star Antony is DROPPED from Brazil’s squad after his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin accused him of threatening her while pregnant, damaging her breast implants and slicing her finger with a glass

Manchester United striker Antony has been removed from Brazil’s squad after his ex-girlfriend accused him of threatening her during pregnancy, damaging breast implants and cutting off her finger.

Gabriela Cavallin, a DJ and influencer, has filed police reports against Antony, both in their native Brazil and England, and the investigation is ongoing.

The Brazilian news channel UOL has published new allegations against the Brazilian international footballer, including WhatsApp screenshots and photos of injuries.

He has been recalled from Brazil’s latest squad following the news ahead of the side’s games against Bolivia and Peru.

The 23-year-old was replaced by Arsenal player Gabriel Jesus after the striker returned from injury.

In June, Cavallin accused Antony of domestic violence and making threats during a televised interview in which she claimed the footballer would not allow her to leave their house.

Antony responded with a statement on his Instagram account, saying he had been “falsely accused” and had “suffered in silence” as the police investigation continued.

The player’s representatives told UOL the matter is under “judicial secrecy” and declined to comment.

Mailsport has reached out to Antony’s representatives for comment. Manchester United replied ‘no comment’ when contacted.

Cavallin has since spoken out again, telling UOL that she was first attacked by the footballer in June 2022 while she was pregnant and on vacation in Brazil.

She claims that Antony put her in a car, attacked her repeatedly, and threatened to throw her out of the car at high speed.

She continued to be in a relationship with Antony, but claimed in the interview that he alternated between moments of affection and outbursts of aggression before apologizing.

When Antony moved from Dutch club Ajax to United in August 2022, for a transfer worth £82 million, she accompanied him to England.

Cavallin said she needed stitches to her chest after Antony allegedly injured her

However, when he went to play for Brazil at the World Cup in Qatar, she tried to end the relationship for good, but was unsuccessful.

She says Antony attacked her on January 15 this year, causing a gash to her head and dislocating her breast implant.

“I don’t remember exactly who the fight was about, but it was someone I had been with years ago,” she told UOL. “He punched me in the chest and my silicone (implant) flipped.

‘Then I came to Brazil for an operation to replace the prosthesis. He said, “I didn’t mean to hurt you, it was by accident, it wasn’t a punch, I just pushed you, I just held you against the wall.”

Cavallin said the latest incident happened on May 8, 2023 and led to the finger injury and her return to Brazil.

She said, “I knew I had to leave, but I couldn’t. I liked him a lot. I had a lot of hope.

“I was very attached to the beginning of our relationship, to the things he was to me in the beginning.

‘That last day (May 8) it was very serious. I was really afraid I wouldn’t be able to get out of the house.’

Antony posted a statement in Portuguese on Instagram in June emphasizing his innocence

Cavallin claims that Antony tried to hit her with a glass cup and that while she was defending herself with her hand, her finger was cut.

“Antony locked the door of the house and wouldn’t let me go out and I had my finger open, all hurt. He broke my stuff and took my passport,” she said.

Antony, who played in United’s 3-1 defeat at Arsenal on Sunday, issued a statement on his Instagram account in June.

He wrote, “For you, after making my statement at the police station where the investigation of my name is being conducted, I wanted to speak in public for the first time since I was falsely accused of assault.

“I remained silent until this moment so that nothing could interfere with the investigation process, but during all these days my family and I suffered in silence.

“Despite being born and raised in a very needy community, I have never experienced a situation like this, where a false accusation of assault resulted in tentative and unfair public judgment on the part of some.

“After the conclusion of the investigation, my innocence will surely be proven and justice will prevail.

“The damage that was initially done to my image is a thing of the past.

“Thank you for the countless messages of support we have received during this very difficult time.”
