Erik ten Hag was joined by members of the Manchester United first team as they signed personal messages of condolence in a memorial book in memory of Sir Bobby Charlton.
The Manchester United and England legend sadly passed away on Saturday at the age of 86 after a battle with dementia.
His legendary status in English football saw tributes pour in over the weekend and United have also discussed memorial plans with UEFA and Charlton’s family ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League match against FC Copenhagen at Old Trafford.
United opened their book of condolence to the public on Sunday following their Premier League win over Sheffield United the night before. Thousands of supporters flocked to the club’s stadium to pay their respects.
Ten Hag and his players have now signed statements of respect for the club icon at their training complex in Carrington, which will be added to the condolence register later this week.

United’s women’s and youth teams will also write their own messages in the book set up at Carrington.
A separate room at the club’s training complex has been set up as a space for players and staff to pay their respects with a glossy wooden desk decorated with the club logo and a pad with paper and pen.
Dressed in a neutral gray jersey and black trousers, the United manager scribbled his personal message at the top of the page.
Club captain Bruno Fernandes was also in attendance and completed a message celebrating Charlton’s legacy at United.

Summer recruit Rasmus Hojlund wore a green hoodie as he wrote a message
Man United Academy graduate Alejandro Garnacho was one of the younger first-team stars to write a message
Goalkeeper Andre Onana also wrote a personal message that will later be added to the club’s condolence register
Summer recruits Sergio Reguilon, Rasmus Hojlund, Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Sofyan Amrabat were also pictured writing their own fitting tributes at the training center.
Diogo Dalot – fresh from scoring the winning goal in United’s weekend victory at Bramall Lane – signed his respects with the wreath laid by Fernandes before the match against Sheffield United who was also in attendance.
Academy graduates – Alejandro Garnacho, Hannibal Mejbri and Kobbie Mainoo – who were said to have been raised according to the standards of the club Charlton was famous for, also paid their respects.
United veterans Tom Heaton and Jonny Evans were among the more experienced stars to pen personal messages on Sunday.
