In the semi-finals of the FA Cup, Manchester United will face Coventry City, while reigning champions Man City will take on Chelsea.

The draw took place just minutes after United’s epic 4-3 win over Liverpool, with Amad Diallo netting the winner in the 121st minute.

And as reward for the win, they will face the Sky Blues, who are managed by former United star Mark Robins.

That semi-final result – both of which will take place at Wembley on Saturday April 20 or Sunday April 21 – is seen as the dream draw, with Coventry the only non-Premier League team left in the competition.

Robins, who scored 11 times in 48 appearances for United, is best known for saving Sir Alex Ferguson’s job by scoring the winner in an FA Cup tie against Nottingham Forest in January 1990.

He has made impressive progress with Coventry, taking them from League Two to the brink of the Premier League in their 3-2 win over Wolves on Saturday.

If United win, they could face rivals City in a repeat of last year’s final, when Pep Guardiola’s side won 2-1 on their way to a famous Treble.

But City – who beat Newcastle 2-0 in the quarter-finals – will have to beat Chelsea first, with the Blues hoping to reach their second successive domestic cup final.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side narrowly edged past Leicester City earlier on Sunday, with Carney Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke securing a 4-2 win in extra time.

Chelsea will be hoping to improve on their torrid record at Wembley, which has seen the Blues lose three of the last four FA Cup finals, while they have been defeated in two of the past three Carabao Cup finals.

Chelsea have won the FA Cup eight times, while City have recorded seven victories, including two successes in the last five years.
