Leicester City goalkeeper Mads Hermansen has revealed how he was once injured by Man United star Rasmus Hojlund in an incident while on international duty.
Hermansen had his tooth knocked out after a collision with Hojlund during training with Denmark.
The incident took place as Denmark prepared for Euro 2024 last summer, with the team practicing set pieces.
Speaking on former Man United goalkeeper Ben Foster’s ‘Fozcast’, Hermansen revealed Hojlund had crashed into him while competing for the ball, causing him to lose a tooth.
‘As a goalkeeper you know it sometimes when you have done regular stretch exercises. It’s like, “Are we going 100 percent? Are we just being a little easy?” Hermansen said.

The incident is said to have occurred during a training session in the run-up to the European Championships last summer
‘So we were with the national team just before the European Championships, it was optional training, you could come and train if you wanted. So let’s cut some corners.
‘I go: “Goalkeepers!” And he just comes in with everything, with his elbow right against my tooth. When I was younger I took a corner off too, so it was just the same piece of plastic.’
Hermansen and Foster had differing views on Hojlund’s approach, with the latter claiming his approach was overzealous for the training session.
“Cheers Rasmus, appreciate that,” Foster said. ‘That’s nonsense. I don’t have that, it’s poor.
‘If you do it in a practice form, you have to take it easy. You can’t be pureblood like that.’
Hermansen disagreed with Foster’s opinion and suggested that the incident was a reflection of Hojlund’s professionalism.
The 24-year-old praised the forward for giving his all in every session with the team.
“He’s that kind of person and I love that about him,” Hermansen said. ‘He always gives everything. He just has an exceptional way of being a professional.”

The Danish teammates will be on the opposite side later this month when Man United host Leicester in the Carabao Cup on October 30.
Hojlund would soon afterwards be given the opportunity to test Hermansen again on corners, with the Foxes traveling to Old Trafford again in the Premier League on November 10.
The Man United star himself has had a disrupted opening to the season due to injury, which has limited him to just one Premier League start so far.
Hojlund will look for his first Premier League goal of the season on Saturday when Man United host Brentford.
