Donny van de Beek has been loaned out to Eintracht Frankfurt for the rest of the season, Manchester United have confirmed.

The Bundesliga club pays United a rental fee and covers the majority of Van de Beek's wages. The deal includes an option to buy in the summer for £9.5 million plus £2.6 million in add-ons.

It was widely accepted that the 26-year-old Dutchman should be loaned out to play for the first team after playing little this season.

He played just 21 minutes off the bench in two games against Crystal Palace in September in the Premier League and the Carabao Cup.

Van de Beek, who has struggled to impress since joining United from Ajax for £40m in 2020, was loaned out to Everton two years ago. He is under contract at Old Trafford until mid-2025.
