Manchester United have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Mason Mount for £60 million.

After talks over the past 24 hours, the two clubs have resolved a deadlock in talks.

The deal is said to be worth £60 million including add-ons. The add-ons are believed to be viable.

He will now undergo a medical and personal conditions before signing a long-term contract at Old Trafford, which is reported to be a five-year deal.

Mail Sport reported last month that Mount had become Erik ten Hag’s main target this summer.

Manchester United have finally agreed a £60 million deal with Chelsea for Mason Mount

The Red Devils have chased Mount for most of the period, but three bids were rejected – the third of which amounted to around £55m last week – before United walked away from the negotiating table.

United were reluctant to overpay for a player who had one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.

But they have now agreed to pay an initial fee of £55 million with £5 million worth of add-ons.
