Manchester United fans have taken another shot at Jamie Carragher after their epic 4-3 win over Liverpool last weekend.
Red Devils supporters were quick to blast Carragher on social media after knocking their rivals out of the FA Cup in dramatic circumstances with two late goals in extra time.
The match is discussed on this week’s Stick to Football podcast, where United fans may have hoped to see former stars Gary Neville and Roy Keane debate Liverpool legend Carragher.
However, Carragher failed to appear on this week’s podcast, with the Sky Sports pundit posting a photo of himself with his wife Nicola on a skiing holiday in the French Alps on Wednesday.
United fans were quick to ridicule Carragher on social media when they noticed his absence from the show.

One fan posted a ‘missing person’ message on Twitter, writing: ‘@Carra23 went missing after the Man United Liverpool match on March 17, 2024. For any information that may help find him, please contact @GNev2.’
It also said he was last seen ‘thoroughly upset’ after the defeat and that he ‘can dish it out, but apparently can’t handle it’.
Alex Turk added: ‘No Jamie Carragher? One of those who loves to give but can’t take it back, right?’
@Niamhutd wrote: ‘Jamie Carragher would have gone in his full Liverpool kit and laughed in everyone’s faces for an hour if they had won the tie.’
While @utdcynical added: ‘Carragher is that one mate who can give it all but can’t take it.’
However, one Liverpool fan managed to turn it on to fellow pundit Neville, prompting the former full-back to describe his holidays as ‘mini-retirements’.
They posted a photo Carragher had taken with an unimpressed Neville in the background after Liverpool’s 7-0 win over Manchester United last year, with the caption: ‘Tactical mini-retirement from Carragher.’
In a viral clip last year, Neville said: ‘What you can have is mini-retirements during the year and that’s what I’ve tried to do, I don’t do it very well. For example, this weekend I’m going to Spain from Friday to Monday morning. I call that a mini-retirement.’
Carragher took a dig at the end of last season when he, Keane and Micah Richards discussed their summer plans.
He said: ‘It’s a mini-retirement. We’re not going on holiday, it’s a mini-retirement. That’s all.’
Following Liverpool’s defeat to their rivals, Carragher warned United legend Rio Ferdinand that their win was not as important as he had thought.
Replying to a tweet to the former United defender, Carragher wrote: ‘Relax. Manchester City beats you comfortably in the final & ETH (Erik ten Hag is still in charge next season).
‘It’s not the victory you think it is!!’
