Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni has suggested he should change his current 26-man squad
Speaking at a press conference last night, Scaloni said: “There is a possibility that our 26-man roster for the World Cup will change. Let’s see’
“There are players who are not 100% okay. We want to be careful. We want to see their evolution’.
We have days to decide. There are some players who are physically in trouble.
“The truth is we are not sure that these 26 players are all in the squad, luckily we have days to decide if we need to make any changes.”
Two of Argentina’s biggest names, Cristian Romero and Paulo Dybala, were both absent from their 5-0 win over the UAE on Wednesday night.

With injury concerns growing, United fans believe their young star Garnacho should earn a debut call-up to the first team.
“Let my boy Alejandro get on the plane,” one fan wrote. “Garnacho World Cup Masterclass coming up,” said another – seemingly assuming he’s already been called up.
“Maybe we’ll see starboy Garnacho at the World Cup!!” one passionate United fan wrote as they added some “praying hands” emojis.
“Garnacho is going to the World Cup at the end of this week,” one user confidently claimed.
In a more demanding tone, one user said, “TAKE GARNACHO.”
United fans weren’t afraid to express their feelings as they poured their hearts out on social media
Fortunately for Scaloni, his side were not plagued by their current injury crisis and still managed a 5-0 victory over the UAE last night.
Goals from Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez, Inter Milan’s Joaquin Correa, Lionel Messi and a brace from Di Maria sent Scaloni’s side rioting at the Mohammad Bin Zayed Stadium.
Messi’s goal was top notch as he hit a right-footed effort past the goalkeeper after beating one of the defenders with a fine display of skill.
It’s a promising way to take part in the World Cup, as Scaloni’s side extended their unbeaten run to 36 games.
