Manchester United fans have begged Erik ten Hag to rest Casemiro against Crystal Palace to prevent him from missing the decisive clash with Arsenal through suspension.
The Brazilian midfielder has been a major influence on United’s success this season since signing from Real Madrid in a £70m move last summer.
United face a trip to Selhurst Park on Wednesday night before returning to the capital four days later to play Premier League leaders Arsenal at the Emirates.

Casemiro has been one of the first names in Ten Hag’s squad since he left Real Madrid in the summer.
Casemiro is one of the first names in the squad and United fans fear he will pick up his fifth yellow card of the season against Palace and miss out on the trip to Arsenal as a result.
Players who receive five yellow cards within their team’s first 19 league games receive a suspension.
United have the second most yellow cards in the Premier League this season with 46, behind Fulham who have 49 yellows and one red.
His Brazilian teammate Fred is also at risk of suspension, raising the chances that Ten Hag could be without two of his key midfielders against Arsenal.
United fans have taken to social media before the game in droves to ask Ten Hag to leave Casemiro out on Wednesday night.

One user said: ‘Rest up Casemiro vs Crystal Palace’ before adding: ‘A reserve and misses Arsenal, we can’t take a chance.’
Another said: “It’s tough but we can do Fred McTominay against Crystal Palace, we can’t afford to have Casemiro absent.”
A third added: ‘We don’t need Casemiro to beat Palace tbh…Bring back McTominay/Eriksen in midfield on Wednesday.’
And a fourth said: ‘Start McTominay. Maybe he will give Zidane a few minutes. It is crucial to have Casemiro available for when we play against Arsenal.”
United moved within a point of Manchester City with a 2-1 derby win on Saturday, and they can close the gap on Arsenal to six points if they win on Sunday.
Ten Hag’s men are the only team to have beaten Mikel Arteta’s Gunners in the Premier League so far this season.
