The Red Devils have been unusually efficient in the way they have gone about their business so far this summer. They are on the verge of adding young defender Leny Yoro to their ranks, having already completed the signing of Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee.

United managed to fend off competition from the Reds and sign the youngster from Lille, and according to Football ItalyThe clubs will compete against each other again this transfer window.

Rabiot played five of France’s six matches at Euro 2024, missing only the quarter-final against Portugal through suspension.

The midfielder came through PSG’s youth academy and went on to make 227 appearances for the club in all competitions.

In 2019, he decided to move to Serie A with Juventus and at the end of his debut season he managed to win the league title.

Rabiot could remain in Italy for a while longer, as there is reportedly another club interested in signing him from Napoli, under new manager Antonio Conte.

But with salary demands reportedly running to over £7million a year, it is possible that only a Premier League club would be willing and able to meet his wishes.

Liverpool, which is preparing for the 2024-25 season under new head coach Arne Slot, has not yet made any moves in the market this summer.
