Manchester City produced their best performance of the season in a three-goal thrashing of Man United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Erling Haaland scored from the penalty spot to give City the lead in the 26th minute after Rasmus Hojlund was adjudged to have fouled Rodri in the penalty area.
United had speculative chances of their own when Scott McTominay smashed an effort towards goal late in the half, before Ederson produced a brilliant one-handed save.
Moments later there were similar heroics at the other end as Andre Onana tipped Haaland’s header off the line.
United’s shot-stopper could not repeat the feat early in the second half as Haaland was found in acres of space and coolly headed into a near-open net to double City’s lead.

Mason Mount’s introduction at half-time disrupted the balance of United’s midfield and Erik ten Hag’s tactical change did more to hinder the home side than get them back into the game.
City began to exert their control and United could barely gain a foothold in proceedings as Onana was forced to make several smart stops as United held on.
Haaland unselfishly played a cross back into the penalty area for Phil Foden to score City’s third and complete a convincing win at the home of their rivals.
