One man has been shot and another is on the run in rural Queensland.
Police and emergency services were called to a property in the Lockyer Valley in the state’s south-east shortly before 6am to reports of a firearm being discharged.
“Initial investigations indicate that a 31-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body,” a Queensland Police spokesperson said.
‘The perpetrator probably fled shortly before the police arrived.’
A 31-year-old man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation, including any CCTV or dashcam footage that may have been in the area at the time, is urged to contact police.
