Man fighting for life after being shot in Caboolture, north of Brisbane
A man is fighting for his life after being shot in the lower body by police in Queensland.
Police were called to a home in Caboolture, north of Brisbane, about 10.30am on Wednesday.
When they arrived, several people were present in the building, including a man with a knife.
An officer fired his weapon, wounding the knife-wielding man in the abdomen.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics took the man to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.

The area has been cordoned off as the police investigation is still ongoing
The circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been released.
There is still a police presence at the property, which appears to be in a recent residential development.
