Man left fighting for life after being shot in the stomach by armed intruders at home in Hillston, NSW
A man fights for his life after being shot twice by armed intruders.
The 31-year-old man was shot in the stomach around 2:30 a.m. Friday at a home in Hillston, about 60 miles (100 km) northwest of Griffith.
A 56-year-old woman was also in the home in rural NSW when three people entered, one armed with a firearm.
The man was shot twice before the intruders fled.
He was treated by paramedics before being taken to Griffith Hospital in a critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
The man was later taken by helicopter to a major city for treatment.
New South Wales Police say an investigation has been launched.
