A Taiwanese grandfather is caught using his grandchild to swat an aggressive goose.

Witnesses in the Metropolitan Park outside the Chimei Museum in Tainan said they saw a young child being chased through the park by a goose.

A concerned grandfather then swept up the young girl as the goose tried to attack her. But now that the goose is chasing the grandfather, the man uses the child to knock the goose away and sweep her around to kick the bird in the head, as if protecting himself.

In the viral video, another goose is filmed in a serene park as it grazes head down in Tainan Metropolitan Park in western Taiwan.

The young girl can then be heard in the background as the goose continues its chase before the camera moves to capture the man using the young girl to chase the goose away.

The goose is then knocked back as it spreads its wings and waddles away to the other geese.

The goose that was hit on the head is believed to be Beckham. The Chimei Meuseum has named 14 of its white geese that live on the park grounds.

Geese have a series or sharp serrated teeth-like edges in their beaks called tomia. The tomia is made of cartilage rather than enamel, but would be incredibly painful if you were bitten.

Geese are also very territorial and protective birds. They will yell and hiss at people and other animals if they feel they are getting too close to their nest or young.

The Chimei Museum has since urged the public not to feed or approach the geese. They added that the geese can understandably become aggressive when people invade their homes.

The video has since been circulated by many on social media and has racked up 16,000 shares on Facebook.
