Police allege they were conducting routine patrols in the district when they encountered a man causing a disturbance.

Two male police officers, a 42-year-old senior police officer and a 31-year-old police officer, sustained minor injuries in the altercation.

The man accused of throwing the punch appeared before Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
