WHAT IS A BUGGY?

A buggy is a lightweight car with off-road capabilities and sparse bodywork

They usually have four wheels and an open roof

There are different types of buggies to use in different off-road environments

These include swamp buggies, golf buggies, dune buggies and sand rails, the latter two being designed for use on sand.

“You’ve always made her and everyone around you laugh,” she wrote on Facebook.

“I am so grateful for all the wonderful moments and adventures you have been able to share with my beautiful sister, the love of your life.

“Even though you’ve only just begun your greatest adventure, we know you’ll always be there to watch over Sal and your beautiful son.”

Sarah described Mr Hall as an avid fisherman, hunter and adventurer who ‘lived life to the fullest and embraced every moment’.

“Thank you for being such a funny, witty, loving, kind and downright beautiful person,” she said.

“You will be loved and missed forever.”

Heartbroken friends have flocked online to pay tribute to the avid outdoorsman, who is remembered as a “true Aussie dude” who was “kind” and “down to earth.”

“What devastating news,” Katie Harding wrote.

“Matthew Hall has always been one of the nicest and most down-to-earth people anyone would ever meet. He always loved adventure and a good laugh. Will truly be missed by everyone.

“Rest in peace mate, our memories will always be cherished.”

Friend Zoe Shepherd said Mr Hall “lived his life to the fullest and always had a ‘new adventure on the horizon’.”

“Anyone who knew him would agree he was a great mate, someone who would give him the shirt off his back if he had to,” she said.

“Matt is so loved and missed so much by so many people, he would be so grateful to everyone for helping Sally through this time of sheer grief,” she said.

“Anyone who knew him, near or far, will feel this loss greatly.”

Girlfriend Renee Connelly has set up a GoFundMe to help Ms. Fischer as she braces herself to become a mother without her partner by her side.

Ms. Connelly said the fundraiser, which has raised $28,200 so far, would go toward funeral expenses and upcoming bills that the family will face in the coming weeks.

“Matt has left a hole in the lives of so many people, but especially his partner Sally who is 20 weeks pregnant,” Ms Connelly wrote on the page.

“Please help me give some financial support to Sally, their baby and Matt’s family by donating as much money as possible.”

The crash site has been declared a crime scene as police continue to investigate the incident.
