A man had sex with his wife on a bollard in protest after his neighbor had put it up to prevent him from parking his motorhome in his space.

Lee Craig McConnell, 28, constantly parked his car and a campervan in his neighbors’ parking lot in Meadow View, Blandford Forum, where he lives.

In retaliation, his neighbor was forced to put up a bollard to prevent McConnell from parking his motorhome in his space after he “caused some tension” and “arguments” between the couple. dorset live informed.

Weymouth Magistrates Court heard how neighbors living in the relatively small cul-de-sac of 10 houses regularly faced difficulties parking and leaving their respective spaces with their vehicles.

Despite their efforts, prosecutor Richard Withey said the bollard was pushed and manipulated, which he had the concerned neighbor set up CCTV from her bedroom to overlook the area.

However, despite moving the camera to an external wall and putting up CCTV warning signs, it still he caught McConnell pushing the bollard on two occasions.

After 11pm on October 26, 2022, CCTV footage captured McConnell gesturing for his wife to come over to the parking bollard and have sex with her.

Mr Withey noted that the incident was only disclosed to the neighbor the day after it happened.

Referring to CCTV footage, he said: “She appears to be talking and she (McConnell’s wife) is wearing some kind of gown, which she then walks up to the bollard, steps over the bollard and engages in that (sexual) act. It ends. and enters the house.

The baffled neighbor was left “completely disgusted” by the footage and felt the act was intended to “shock and intimidate” her during her ongoing parking line.

Also, before calling his wife, the 28-year-old was caught on camera masturbating in front of his house.

The same night of the sexual act, her husband had been taken to the hospital.

Withey claimed it was “an attempt by the defendant to humiliate her” and noted that McConnell did not respond to any comments during the police interview.

McConnell pleaded guilty to indecent exposure at a court hearing on Friday afternoon.

The defender, Simon Lacey, said McConnell had been left “embarrassed” by his actions and had put his house up for sale in an attempt to put an end to the incident.

He added: ‘The whole thing is a mess.

‘All they are doing is getting out of a very difficult situation. It’s sad and this is a man who is trying to start a family and work.

‘He is very embarrassed by what happened. It’s a very difficult lesson to learn.’

McConnell also expressed concerns that a copy of the footage still exists and “concerns” about what could happen to the video.

Lacey said: ‘I had no idea there were cameras there. It was not deliberate and not to humiliate the neighbor. It was clearly inappropriate for something that happened.

He has come and pleaded guilty at the first opportunity. It’s fair to say that the neighbor only found out when she told her.

The matter has been adjourned for a pre-sentence briefing and McConnell will appear again in the same court on April 27.

He was released on bail but was ordered not to contact his neighbor.
