Furious warning from shopper after he had hair scorched with cheap clippers and a burnt scalp: ‘Don’t buy it’
- A Kmart customer bought a $35 clipper
- He was left with split ends and a sunburnt scalp
Kmart has come under fire after their clippers “burned” and “gorged” the hair of a man who wanted to shave his head.
Yasmin revealed that the $35 product left her boyfriend, Aaron, with fried hair and a sunburned scalp.
The Kmart customers were outraged by the unpleasant result and possible permanent damage to Aaron’s hair.
“All he wanted was a new cut, but the Kmart razor fried my friend’s hair,” Yasmin ranted in a video.
“It split and burned his goddamn head,” she added.

“Look at his hair, look what happened to it,” she said in a video.
Yasmin zoomed in on Aaron’s scalp in bright light, revealing bits of burnt hair with split ends and an irritated scalp.
“It’s all messed up, his hair is broken,” Yasmin said.
The couple revealed that there was no way Aaron could have used a milder setting because the device only toggles ‘on’ or ‘off’.
“I don’t have that fresh feeling,” Aaron said sadly.
The Melbourne woman even ran her hand through her friend’s short hair and came away with several strands of hair damaged and falling off.
Yasmin quickly warned, “Don’t buy.”
Many other customers were also concerned about Kmart’s quality when it came to hair care.
“As much as I love Kmart, I refuse to buy anything from the Anko brand associated with her for this reason alone,” said one woman.
“The same thing happened to me – you really do get what you pay for,” added another.
A Kmart spokesperson was concerned about Aaron’s experience and encouraged him to contact customer service.
“At Kmart, we pride ourselves on providing our customers with high quality products at prices they love. We take feedback about the safety and quality of our products very seriously and investigate these comments with our quality team.”
“We encourage any customer with a concern about any of our products to contact our friendly customer service team at kmartcustomerservice@kmart.com.au to ensure it can be properly investigated.”
