Man DROWNS in lake outside SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles… the second person to die in the water next to the home of NFL’s Rams and Chargers since it opened in 2020

A man has drowned in the lake outside SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, the second death at the man-made water feature since the venue opened in 2020.

A man, reportedly in his early 20s, went into the lake on Friday evening around 9:30 pm and did not emerge.

According to the Los Angeles Timesa diving team was deployed and they immediately started a rescue operation.

The man was found just before 11pm and the dive team attempted CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

“It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of an individual last night,” a statement from SoFi Stadium said.

“Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of this person for their loss. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
