Man dies on Eastwood worksite in horrific way

A man has died at a construction site after being trapped under a falling water tank.

Emergency services were first alerted to the workplace incident on Auld Street in Eastwood, in Sydney’s northwest, at around 8.45am on Wednesday.

Paramedics desperately tried to treat the man, believed to be in his 60s, but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A NSW Police spokesperson confirmed a report will be prepared for the coroner and the incident has been referred to SafeWork NSW.
