A man has been killed after he was allegedly stabbed during an early morning brawl outside a suburban home.

The incident happened around 1.30am on Sunday outside a property on North Road, in Ormond, about 20km south-east of Melbourne.

The man who was allegedly stabbed died at the scene, while another man in his 30s suffered injuries from the altercation.

He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Victoria Police have yet to formally identify the deceased man.

A fight reportedly broke out at the property before the violent confrontation then spilled onto the streets of the neighborhood.

Westbound traffic on North Road will be blocked for motorists traveling to Bethell Street and O’Loughlan Street.

The incident is being investigated by the police.
